The high-performance variant of the already spectacular Ford Mustang appeared for the first time in 1965. For the 1969 production year, the car received extensive changes, especially the body was lengthened. Although there was no production in the following year, unsold copies of 1969 were marked as 1970 models. To distinguish them, the car received a small front spoiler and two stripes on the hood.
